As an Egyptian-qualified medical professional, I pursued my aspirations in the UK, specializing in vascular surgery. Securing a competitive international trainee position, and completing the UK national training program, I thrived—mastering advanced vascular techniques and earning multiple national and international accolades for patient education videos. My journey includes pioneering research, from transatlantic collaborations to leading national studies. Passionate about both patient care and surgical excellence, I am dedicated to advancing my field while prioritizing education. Rooted in my Egyptian heritage, I deeply value skilled craftsmanship—a principle I apply meticulously in my surgical practice.

Mr Ahmed Shalan is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. He holds a medical degree from Cairo University graduating in 2007, as well as postgraduate qualifications including MRCS, ChM, and FRCS. He specialises in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins, offering advanced procedures such as endovenous laser therapy, radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy.
Mr Shalan uses advanced imaging techniques to accurately diagnose vascular conditions and guide precise, targeted treatments. His expertise ensures safe and effective care with minimal discomfort and downtime.
